Well, Ava can walk! I don't know if we are ready for this yet. She took her first step last weekend, hasn't really done much since, but today she's gotten braver and taken a few more. I know it won't be long before she is really taking off! Check her out on youtube.

Happenings
Since we've been back from Iowa, we have been busy here in Corsicana. MIcah and one of our neighbors are building us an awning for our new back porch. They got started on Tuesday and are hopefully going to finish up today. Our neighbor is a fireman so they are working on his days off. MIcah is also building us shutters for the front of the house, and we were planning on painting the trim of the house, but have decided to wait until the fall when it's a little cooler! Ava and I have been running around town a lot, just hanging out and having fun. We went swimming at Uncle Jake's in the big pool for the first time and she did great! She loved it! I dunked her twice and she came up smiling both times. We've also been working on switching from the bottle to a sippy cup and not using the pacifier anymore. It has been interesting. Here are a few pics from the past few weeks.

Ava in Iowa
Last week we went to Des Moines, Iowa to visit some family/college friends. We had a great time and got to enjoy the awesome Iowa summer weather...much better than the winter weather. Micah had lots of fun hanging out with Karl and Daniel, I got to visit with Lyneil and Andrea, and Ava had a great time with all the boys (Braxton, Brazos, Brayson, and Kaden). Here are some pictures from our trip.
We also stayed in Tulsa with Stacey, Bobby, Bear, and Belle, I have a video that I will post of that later.

10 Months Old
Ava is now 10 months old. Actually by now she is about 10 1/2 months old, I'm a little behind in my blogging. She is growing up very fast. She can now stand by herself, without holding onto anything, though she doesn't do it much. She walks (while holding on to things) and crawls all over the place. She has mastered crawling up steps and loves to play outside. She loves to watch other kids though she isn't really sure how to play with them. She can say bye-bye and uh-oh very well and eats just about anything. And she finally has two bottom teeth!
