Chuck-E-Cheese
Thursday Ava and I went to Chuck-E-Cheese with Pam, Ashley, Hunter, and Eli. Ava loved it! She ate two whole pieces of pizza, plus Eli's and my crust. She enjoyed watching the games and sliding down the slide and riding the carousel. She wasn't really sure about the other rides, but I'm sure she'll come around when she gets older.

12 Months Old
Ava is now 12 months old! For those of you who read her birthday post, you already knew that. I'm just a little late with the 12 month post. She is definitely growing up into a big girl. She is no longer on formula or bottles, and we are contemplating getting rid of the pacifier (she only uses it when she sleeps) but haven't reallly tried it yet. She loves to play, and has also learned to throw fits. Fun stuff! She copies so much that we do. She can brush her hair, her teeth, talk on the phone, and say lots of stuff including hi, bye, kitty, daddy, meow (what the kitty says), uh oh, wow, and tons of random things. She doesn't say mama yet, but I think it's because I'm always there and she really doesn't have a need to. She weighs right at 23 pounds (70th%) and is 30 1/2 inches tall (90th%). We are looking forward to another year!!

Ava's Birthday
Tuesday was Ava's first birthday. It's hard to believe that she is already a year old. We had a small party for her with family and friends and she enjoyed it very much. Thanks to everyone for sharing this special day with us! Here are a few pics, there will be more to come.
Her favorite toy was of course, the box.
Everyone got to help open the presents.
Mmmm....cupcake. Uncle Jake let Ava eat two more cupcakes later.

Lubbock-Part 2
Well, the second half of our week in Lubbock was much less exciting, although no less eventful, than the first. Wednesday Lyneil watched Ava while Micah and I went to the antique tractor and windmill museum. Exciting. Actually, the windmill part was kinda neat. We ate supper with Andy, Lyneil, the boys, and Dale, Micah's grandfather's brother, then went to church in New Home. We then went home and went to bed, only to wake up at 3:00 Thursday morning to Ava throwing up. She continued until about 9:00 that morning, and then again that night. Being sick in a hotel is no fun. Friday we were able to drive home and we were all happy to be there! Saturday Ava was a little sick still, and so today we've been hanging out at home trying to rest up and get all the germs gone so she doesn't infect anyone else. Overall, it was a good trip. I don't have any pictures of the last part of our week, because the whole thing was just really gross!
